CoD2 How to make level.player invulnerable?

Hello, does anyone know if there is a way to make the Level Player (SP) invulnerable to damage via GSC, I have tried the following:

level.player EnableHealthShield( true ); // this does not seem to have any effect

and I have also tried giving health constantly to the player but nothing seem to work so far.
