Activision and the Call of Duty community

Would be interesting to know the purpose of this kind of trade policy. Chasing people that rip off material protected under copyright is understandable, not releasing Mod Tools is not.

My interpretation: they don't want players to stick to outdated CoD's. They probably plan a certain time that a gamer will play a recent CoD and after that, they want him/her to buy the newest CoD and not to keep him/her busy on old CoD's thanks to the Mod Tools. A shame really, but this decision they take might really increase their selling.
