    Mods wont work with fs_game folder

    I'm trying to make my own server with fs_game and mods, but somehow cod2 server doesnt load my mods into it, i made fs_game folder by adding +fs_game myservername to shortcut of cod2mp.exe and it worked i tested, but then i have my zombies mod i found, i have edited it little bit, it has five .iwd files, ppl say that some of them you need to put in main folder and some of them in fs_game folder, but i tried everything and still my server wont find them.
    Here's my mod: http://www.mediafire.com/?w56ta6gehmvnnoo
    So please help me and tell me where i need to put those .iwd files to get them work properly or if there's any problems in them. Sry for wasting your time...

    Please specify your fs_game. You cannot have any spaces in there.

    Also try +set fs_game yourfsgamehere (note the set part)

    First I've tested only your mod: doesnt worked.

    Then I copied the original mod over it: worked (from http://callofduty.filefront.com/file...53241#Download)

    Then I copied your modified files over the original files: still worked

    The main-difference seems to be:
    You forgot:
    - ExtractToFS_GAME.zip
    - menuFix/___m20.iwd

    Also, read FileDescriptions.txt

    Code:
    ----------------------------------------------------
    ---====Zombies Gametype V2 for CoD2 By Paulus====---
    ----------------------------------------------------
    Download from: http://www.codfiles.com/

    paulus#cod @ googlemail . com (remove spaces and #)

    File Descriptions
    =================

    aaaZ*.iwd         -> in main
                - full Zombies Gametype

    if you have an fs_game folder...

    aaZ*.iwd         -> in fs_game
                - client side Zombies Gametype

    ExtractToFS_GAME.zip    -> Extract* to fs_game

            *Make sure you do NOT
            replace files.

            To do this using Windows XP:
                - Double click on 'ExtractToFS_GAME.zip'
                - In the task pane on the left, click
                  'Extract All Files'
                - Find your fs_game folder
                - Click 'Extract' and click 'NO'
                  when it asks you whether you want to
                  replace files.

            Dragging the files to your fs_game folder will
            not work, as Windows asks you if you want to
            replace FOLDERS, as opposed to files!

    __m*.iwd -> in fs_game folder, or main if
                   you do not have an fs_game folder

    *.cfg files
            Included so you can use them as a base for your
            own config files (they are included in aaaZ*.iwd).
            Place renamed and modified config files in your
            main folder (or fs_game folder if available).

    It somehow works, but
    Current search path:
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\dizq_zom\___m20.iwd (6 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2/dizq_zom
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_15.iwd (84 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_14.iwd (4038 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_13.iwd (22624 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_12.iwd (1016 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_11.iwd (1462 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_10.iwd (1936 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_09.iwd (2142 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_08.iwd (2723 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_07.iwd (3384 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_06.iwd (990 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_05.iwd (928 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_04.iwd (698 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_03.iwd (26 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_02.iwd (40 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_01.iwd (16 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\main\iw_00.iwd (102 files)
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2/main
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2/raw
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2/raw_shared
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2/devraw
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2/devraw_shared
    the server only loads ___m20 file, nothing else, and i have like 5 .iwd files, one in main folder others in fs_game folder, this is so confusing -_-

    Oh, lol, now i know: you packed them with WinRar (wrong archive format). An .iwd is a zip-file. Download 7z to pack your mod.

    To test the archive format, just drag&drop the .iwd in Notepad and look at the first letters.

    You don't need any additional programs to create an IWD file. Just uncheck "hide extensions for known file types" in folder options, and create a new Windows .ZIP file. Right click on it, and then rename the file extension to .IWD. Job Done! No extra programs necessary.

    To open and manage IWD files, just use WinRaR - just associate the IWD files with WinRaR and away you go!

    I would just add, you should not be putting any custom IWD files in the COD2 "main" folder. Paulus's zombie mod has a strange naming convention which uses the first letter of the alphabet, when in fact it should be using the last. When checking game files, the game counts down from the first letter of the alphabet, and reads the last one last. So, one of the cardinal principles of COD modding is that you name your mods with the last letter of the alphabet, and that is why mod files get read last, and take effect on the game. this is why you see so many mods with the prefix "zz_", because it works. If you do this with all your mod IWD files, you should not have a problem running them all in an fs_game folder. I have never needed to put IWD files in the "main" folder because of this basic principle of modding.

    Also, because of the dreaded IWD checksum error, using 5 IWD files is going to restrict you to never being able to run a custom map for zombies, because with 5 IWD files, you have used up your maximum limit of custom IWD files. Combine IWD files wherever possible into as few IWD files as possible. Also, keep the names of the IWD files as short as possible. Even names such as 1.iwd, 2.iwd, etc, keep to work around the IWD Checksum error.
