Hey all,
in last time two successful community projects got kinda killed by Activision through legal issues.
FOURDELTAONE:
Tom Crowley (developer of the XAnim Converter and other nice tools):Somebody could launch a service offering what fourDeltaOne did, but in the end ATVI still has the ability to threaten the existence of projects like this. Another solution is if somebody develops a p2p version of MW2/MW3 (or similar games) which reduce the risk of ATVI being able to intervene.
- he got 2 legal warnings of Activision
- shutdown forum
- deleted downloads on his website
I guess we need to thank Activision for all this nice things. Or what do you think about this?
