    Material: alpha artifacts!

    Hey all

I created a smooth 1024x32 gradient shader in gimp and converted it via assetmanager. However, the gradient isnt that smooth ingame...
I made a fullscreen menu and assigned the shader: you can clearly see the different alpha steps

    assetmanager settings:
    MaterialType: 2d
    surfaceType: none
    blendFunc: Blend
    others as default

Can you try to export it in GIMP directly as DDS?

Yep, tried all tga and dds settings with almost every assetmanager setting, this from the screenshot in the first post is the best so far (tga: no compression or dds: BC3/DXT5)

I have saved with Photoshop, and it doesn't look that bad:

Still not perfect certainly, but I have made this picture with 1152 screen width, and it is still better than yours.
Have you tried with width 2048? That may help on it a bit I think.
