It is most definitely a model. Most people rip models out of games like MW2 or MW3 by using a DX Ripper. Most of the weapons ported from MW2 into COD4 have been done like this, and mappers who have recreated MW2 Terminal for COD4 ripped the airplane models using a DX Ripper:
That is from COD4 Terminal:

Nice! Can you look for the Model name?
I use Lime from Tom, i click on find game and i can look for models.
But i didn't found the model.
Create the Model in Blender.
This is simple a xmodel.
Using DX Ripper, you have no model names. Just a giant 3d-data-blob with every the whole world in it. Then you select single meshes and export them with the name you want.

In MW2 are 737 Models. I opened all in a programm and looked...
737 Models checked and i didn't found the plane -.-
I think its not a model...

Ah ok thanks, you can send me download which find all (downloadlink)
I think, Lime can only load those models which are used by the game at the moment. So you have to be on the map with the plane-model, so that Lime can catch it from the memory.
You are maybe right, i will look now.
Btw add me on xfire: 2call2of2duty2 i need you help with animation, i have heard you can it!
EDIT: True ... thank you!
EDIT 2: Btw somebody know already the name of model plane?
