    CoD5 Weapons in CoD2

    Hi there,

So, for the last past months I've been working on porting weapons from one CoD to an other.
The main reason I started all this was because I wanted to create Nazi Zombies(CoD5) as a mod in Call of Duty 2.
But since I changed my mind about what to do after school(I've decided to take my high school diploma btw.), I don't have much time to this and I'm not creating that mod.
But I worked on it(the weapon stuff) when I had time and now I'm posting about my success.
I've managed to port 24 weapons from Call of Duty: World at War - Nazi Zombie, 12 are entirely done, 12 still have missing sounds.

The weapons are completely same. Same model, same animations, knife animation and same sounds as well, even the same weaponfile-properties.

I made some videos of 5 of the weapons so you can have a look at my work and tell me your impression and opinion.

I'm currently uploading all the videos, so it may take some time until they're all live.

    Here's the 1st one:

Nice job, but weren't some of the weapons already ported.

    Yes and no

The 30cal and the Magnum were ported including their animations. But...they have bugged melee animations. The creator just used the Webley Melee animation for the Magnum. Problem is, that it doesn't fit, not even a little. It's easy to get that weapons ported into CoD2 since Treyarch left the xanim_export and model_export files in their modtools. There are one or two more weapons they left in source state, one of them is the flamethrower I think.

The Double Barrel Shotgun + the sawed one are in the CoD2 Western Mod. But with self created animations which are really, how do I say this, I'll put this nicely and say the look...different.(No offense to whoever created those animations, but they just don't look as good as the one from Treyarch). As a pro, they have a melee animation.

Other weapons are modern weapons from CoD4 with normal CoD2 animations. The Raygun and the Wunderwaffe with not fitting CoD2 animations as well.

Or have you seen any other weapons around?

Would be really nice if you could make some tutorials on how to port weapons with animations and sound here on killtube

It would be, it would be. The problem would be, that if I really was about to write such a tutorial, that there would be hundreds of pictures needed and tons of text. (One weapon takes about, well, 6 hours +)
And even if I did it, it would still not be possible for some people to use it, since I use shareware and not anybody uses 'Photoshop Audition' or 'Microsoft Excel' or is able to buy 'Alias Maya 6.0'(which is unavoidably needed and didn't see it on eBay yet).
So this tutorial could possibly be used by 1 or 2 in this community only and they possibly do not have the Game they want to port from.
I think you're getting my point, I'm sorry. If you handed me some money over, I would create any weapon you wish, but no tutorial.
