[Patch][CoD2] Allow connection from 1.2 clients to a 1.0 server

Don't ask for 1.3, it doens't work.

Would be nice to see it inverted, allowing 1.0 clients to connect to 1.2. 1.2 patched ladder bug climbing iirc.

Not possible, would get Illegible server message, also ladder bug can be removed with libcod + g_playerEject "0"

By the way, how does this trick handle sv_pure 1 with iw15.iwd present on clients, but not on server?

Okay I see this posts with hexeditor stuff more and more and I have no idea how to apply this. Can anybody help me how to do this? I don't think I'm the only one not knowing this, so maybe a small tutorial would be helpfull?

iw15 just wont be loaded on client, works like any other mods.

Just navigate to the offset you see on screenshot and change the bytes but i guess i can just upload the patched binary here (this one also got patch to reduce master server timeout to 1 second, since most servs are cracked now)

This doesn't work for me. Server is showing in 1.0 but not in 1.2

It's not supposed to show on 1.2...just allow connection.
