I have a fresh copy of COD2 uploaded to dedi server to run a COD2 server. When I start the server, with or without libcod, I get that error.
Everything is uploaded. In the main folder I have the players folder with the folder default and inside that folder is config_mp.cfg

I tried everything on google, but no results so far. What am I missing?

You don't need a config_mp for a linux server. All you need is 'players' folder in main, active.txt that contains a user name and a empty folder with that user name.

Sounds like your arena file doesnt allow your gametype, or your gametype.gsc is missing entirely

Its just sd gametype
