Hello Guys,
I realized that my computer won't install Windows 7 because the files are damaged (Downloaded 1,2/3GB, Microsoft shut down the downloads).
Then I just installed the .ISO file from an other website. Now I'm getting a crash on my computer:

The BIOS in this system is not fully ACPI compliant. Please contact your system vendor for an updated BIOS.

Here is a picture:
845

The computer model is: ASUS F751MA
It has the newest version of BIOS (Version 260).

Can someone help me to fix this crash?
Thank you!

EDIT: I tested the CD on my other compuer (auto run) it worked.
On this computer it crash while "Starting Windows"

I googled your notebook and it says it comes with Windows 8 by default. So i'm not sure if updating your BIOS is needed.

Try one of these ISOs.

Edit: the digital river win7 isos links no longer work =[

I googled your notebook and it says it comes with Windows 8 by default. So i'm not sure if updating your BIOS is needed.

Try one of these ISOs:
Windows 7 Home Premium x86 SP1 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58996.iso
Windows 7 Home Premium x64 SP1 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-58997.iso
Windows 7 Professional x86 SP1 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59183.iso
Windows 7 Professional x64 SP1 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59186.iso
Windows 7 Ultimate x86 SP1 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59463.iso
Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1 - http://msft.digitalrivercontent.net/win/X17-59465.iso

He needs to flash the BIOS, and then set ACPI to version 3.

BTW - he may have bought the laptop without the OS. You can save a few dollars doing that. But if you are clueless at installing an OS, it is better to spend those "saved" dollars and get it with the OS already installed.

EDIT 2 - the old Digital River links have been removed by MS. They now require you to input a valid serial key before you can download any version of Windows starting with Vista. If you do input a valid key, the downloads are super fast. I downloaded Win8 in about 35 minutes (using a 150 mbs pipe).

I can't find any options for ACPI on BIOS.

Edit: The computer had Windows 8 and I wanted to changed it to Windows 7, I even can't find the Product Key on this computer.

I can't find any options for ACPI on BIOS.

It's a power saving option. Look for power management.

EDIT - you really need to flash your BIOS before you do anything more. It is clearly out of date, as all Win8 UEFI BIOS have a much user-friendly interface and the options are much clearer.

This is my BIOS:

As you can see, very user friendly!

There isn't much to find about this laptop. But it might not be possible to install Windows 7 on this notebook.

There is a BIOS version 206.

Schade!

Installation of Win7 is not possible on the device (F751M) DEFINITIVE. Even the official ASUS Support told me that due to the "not activated in the BIOS Legacy Mode" of the "ACPI error" during the installation can not be bypassed. In general, this should not be an issue, Legacy ON, OFF and Secure Boot on it ... but in this case it is really the manufacturer, which contains the updated BIOS version a complete bar before Win7 (and XP etc.) has pushed ! What A Shame![

Sounds like it is not possible to install non-EFI software on it, not windows 7 as a whole.

You have purchased a windows8-only laptop. You will need to either: 1. buy a win8 serial key and install win8; or, 2. take the laptop back to the vendor and get another one which will accept win7.

BTW- if you bought the laptop and windows was not installed, there wont be a serial key for it. You bought it without windows. Hence, no cds and no serial key.

If you bought it pre-installed, the serial will be inside your bios/efi.
Just reinstall windows 8/8.1 and you wont need any serial.

Ill help you tomorrow over xfire
