Hi all,

I just installed Win 7 ultimate 32 bit but I need 64 bit. I already inserted the dvd again and pressed Upgrade, but my system stays 32 bit. Its 64 bit compatible. Do I need to buy a new dvd with the 64 version or is there another way to upgrade my system?

Just download a 64 bit install dvd and install it with the 32-bit serial. Works fine.

In case you are retarded: install 32 bit again. It will increase your 32 bit install to 64 bit. Dont install it again, cause your pc cant handle 96 bit.

There are ISOs available at Digital River (officially licensed distributor of Microsoft software).

In Ultimate it only takes a few clicks in the Windows Update to download and change the whole system language.

I've found that installing it natively is nicer, even if only for the gained space
