Hello Guys! I have got a problem. I can't install CoD2 correctly, because I lost my CD and nobody sell the CD anymore.
I copied the files from my old Computer to my new Computer, but that doesn't mean that Call of Duty 2 is installed in my Computer.
On my folder bin there is the Radiant and Compiletools, these programs does bug. Some buttons doesn't work on Radiant and Compiletools doesn't work.
I have to install it correctly, so I downloaded CoD2ModTools, but I can't install that, because it says me:

A valid Call of Duty 2 installation could not be found at the path
specified. Please specify where Call of Duty 2 is installed.

There is a way how I can still install it?

Would be nice if it's possible :)
Thank you

Can you send me the link please?

If you mean They Pirate Bay, then it would be better from an other website.

I guess it's some regedit-key, but I can't find the installation path in my registry, since I've installed it on XP and now running 8.

1. Go to "start" menu and then "Run" type in "regedit" and press enter, allow program to open.
2. Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Activision \Call of Duty 2"
3. Now "Edit/New/String Value" call it "InstallPath" and then right click on it modify and type in your cod2 location eg. "C:\Program Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 2\"

Should resolve the problem but not tested so unsure.

hi
the tools should work normal even if u copied the game .maybe ur missing some Redistributable (2005,2008,2010) in x86 and x64 if ur on 64bit OS and netframework
most games need this packages .u can get them all from microsoft.com

It's simpler than that - turn off User Account Control. It stops the tools opening batch files. It's a well known problem with Vista and Win 7.
