Hello there!

I recently tried to host my oen TeamSpeak 3 server. I also host my own Minecraft server, and that one works totally fine.
When I fully installed the TeamSpeak 3 server, I made myself SuperAdmin and created a couple of channels in it.

The problem I have:
When people try to connect to my TeamSpeak 3 server, they get the error they can't connect to it. I DID add port forwarding in my router just like at my Minecraft server. I can join my own TeamSpeak server over localhost aswell as the IP, but other people can't.

Can someone please help me with it?! (You may get a rank on it later if you helped me succesfull ^^)

How host a Ts3 Homeserver ?
Tutorial by K~STAUFFii

1.
Download the Server Client
http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads
For Windows,Linux and Mac

299

2.
Start the ts3serverwin64.exe

300
The Infomations are really inportant.
Server Admin Token -> Server give you the Server Admin Status
Server Admin Query -> Server give you the Server Owner Status

3.
Start your StartMenu and write "internal ip"
On my Pc is my ip ( internal IP: 5.4.3.2.1 )
5.4.3.2.1 or localhost are your IP to connect to the server. ( Only for YOU!!)

4.
For your Friends you must press on the Servericon on your taskbar (Right klick and check the "WanIP")
or http://whatismyipaddress.com/

example:

IP Information: 1.2.3.4.5 (real IP removed )
ISP: Primacom AG
Organization: Primacom AG
Connection: Broadband
link: 128 Mbit/s
City: Coswig
Region: Saxony
Country: Germany

With the IP 1.2.3.4.5 can connect your Friends.

5.
Then you must unlock the ports on your router
9987-> Standard Port ( Your Server )
10011 -> Query Port from your Server
30033 -> Query Port from your Server
and your internal ip

&
In Your Firewall set your ts3.exe Home / guest and openly on

Now your Ts3 work and Friends can comming

Good Luck & Have Fun!

Hey,

I've done all of that, but I don't get this part :

In Your Firewall set your ts3.exe Home / guest and openly on

Could you tell me how to do that, cause I did all the other stuff, and they still can't connect.

Hopefully you can help me!

STAUFFi
7th June 2013, 17:35
aaaa you cant connect with your wan ip
because this is the IP from your PC to Internet!

the wan ip
is a proxy ip from your Internet Provider and you are logged in

Well for me it works 90% correctly.
If your router forwards correctly, u should be able to connect with your external ip.
It works for me at ts3, but not on cod2, so its different between the services (i think :S)

thOuMta
7th June 2013, 21:57
So my router wont forward correctly ?

mika057
7th June 2013, 22:58
Possible... Did you forward all 3 ports? (9987, 10011, 30033)

thOuMta
7th June 2013, 23:10
Yes i forward all ports.

mika057
7th June 2013, 23:12
Hmm, and also in ur firewall both? (I had 2 things of the ts_server.exe or something, I putted them both to public, you 2?

thOuMta
7th June 2013, 23:12
Yes me too :)

mika057
7th June 2013, 23:21
But why do you see it as a problem? You can connect over Localhost en internalip, and others at the wanip, so you shouldn't see it as a problem :/

thOuMta
7th June 2013, 23:23
Yeah i know but its make me nerds :P

mika057
7th June 2013, 23:27
Hmmm...

Maybe when I check it there and at my pc, I see seomwhere something diffrent...

thOuMta
7th June 2013, 23:29

STAUFFi
8th June 2013, 17:45
@thoumta
Unlock internal ip in router ....
you must unlock 4 things not 3 :p

thOuMta
8th June 2013, 20:16
What do you mean ?

mika057
9th June 2013, 00:52
4 things? In my router are only 3 things for my ts3 server 0.o (the ports 9987, 10011 and 30033)
And my minecraft server, but i don't think that affects my ts3 server, does it?
