Hey all,
after 2 days of hardware checking, harddisc replacing and file restoring on the root-server, it is finally back online.
Why did it happen? I hardly guess its the constant torturing of fopen/fread/fwrite/fclose-operations 24/7 for several months caused by the CoD2 file-based rank-systems. Earliboy just had the same hardware defect with his frequently played CoD2-servers.
How to prevent harddisc crashes? By reducing the file-operations through a database software, the hard disc will be treat with care (MySQL-Extension (http://killtube.org/showthread.php?1368-Extension-MySQL&p=5560)).
